Round face? Your haircut can sharpen it.

Five cuts that add angles and height — plus two that add width.

THE PRINCIPLE

Add height, subtract width

A round face needs angles and vertical lift. Keep sides tight, keep length on top, avoid round shapes.

CUT 1

The textured quiff

Length on top swept up and back. The height stretches the face visually. Ask for scissor-cut texture.

CUT 2

The side part

A defined part creates a strong diagonal line. Works with most hair types and looks sharp at work.

CUT 3

The high skin fade

Very short sides make the face look narrower by contrast. Pair it with 2–4 inches left on top.

CUT 4

The angular fringe

A straight, angled fringe adds the edge a round face lacks. Keep it textured, never blunt and round.

CUT 5

The buzz with a fade

A short buzz (guard 3–5) with faded sides. The contrast adds structure without any styling effort.

AVOID

Skip curtains and bowl shapes

Middle parts falling both sides and rounded fringes mirror the face's shape — and double the width.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Height on top, tight on sides

That's the whole formula. The face-shape haircut guide matches cuts to all seven face shapes.
