Beard itch driving you mad by day three?

A 7-day routine that calms the itch while your beard grows in.

WHY IT ITCHES

It's dry skin, not the beard

New hairs curl back and poke dry, flaky skin. Fix the skin and the itch fades — no shaving required.

DAY 1–2

Wash gently, never strip

Rinse daily with warm water. Use a mild cleanser every other day — harsh soap makes dryness worse.

DAY 2–3

Oil goes on damp skin

Pat the beard damp-dry, then work 3–4 drops of beard oil down to the skin, not just the hair.

DAY 3–4

Brush to lift the flakes

A boar brush exfoliates dead skin and trains hairs to grow outward, not back into the skin.

DAY 4–5

Moisturize the skin under it

Rub a plain moisturizer through the beard to the skin each night. The step most men skip.

DAY 5–6

Hands off, heat down

Scratching breaks hairs and irritates skin. Skip hot water on the face — lukewarm only.

DAY 7

Judge it after a full week

By day 7 the skin adapts and growth softens. Still red, bumpy or sore? That's a skin issue, not itch.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Itch is a week-one problem

Wash soft, oil on damp skin, moisturize nightly. The beard facts guide covers growth, patches and trimming.
